Updates

The doctor STILL hasn't called me about drug rehab for Middle Son, though they sent me a text yesterday saying someone needed to set up an appointment. I'm just guessing that's for rehab. I don't like to call the office because it is nigh impossible to get a person. I leave a message 90% of the time, and then I'm STILL waiting for someone to call me. Occasionally, they just send a text telling me when the appointment will be. Sometimes that doesn't work because I already have something scheduled. Rather than endless waiting for calls that aren't made, today I went up to the office to make an appointment in person. They were closed.  This morning, Middle Son's math teacher called me to find out why he hadn't been at school. He had no idea I had withdrawn him from school. The bus still stops in front of my house every morning. We still get calls saying he was absent, so we blocked the number. The school still hasn't completed the withdrawal proces...

The More Things Change, The Less Difference

I withdrew Middle Son from public school because that's where he was getting vapes/drugs. I did that on Tuesday. He's been at home ever since Friday, November 8, when I checked him out of school to be drug tested. Since then, I have found two more vapes. One fell out of his pocket as he walked across the living room last night.  So now he can't be in the back of the house.  He slept on the couch. I got clothes out of his closet, and when I put them in the bathroom, I looked for vapes. He immediately tried to go in the bedroom, so I am sure there are still vapes stashed in the closet. Today I will begin cleaning the bedroom. Eventually, I will either find all the vapes or he will run out.  Drug rehab still hasn't been set up. I called the doctor yesterday to check on progress. I was told it might be Monday or Tuesday before I get a call.  My rashes are not as bad. They still itch slightly, but nothing like before. I can touch the rashes without pain. I think the...

New Washer/Dryer

My laundry struggles are over! My new stacking set came yesterday, and just does barely fit. I thought we would need to take down the cabinet. Instead, we had to sand down the edges. I think the cabinet is a bit crooked. I thought I would gain space on either side, maybe put table or add laundry baskets. I wasn't expecting things to stick out so far. The hoses keep the unit from sitting flush to the wall. The delivery guys ran a test, but I haven't washed clothes yet. I feel a bit intimidated by this hulking beast.  A lot of other things are going on now. Sunday night, I had a severe allergic reaction- itching, headache. throat swelling, and vomiting. I found Middle Son vaping. And at that point, I had had enough. I am withdrawing him from school today. He gets 99% of his vapes at the school. I see no choice but to make him quit cold turkey.  This past Friday, Middle Son failed a drug screening. THC was found. Finally, the doctor agreed he has an addiction and needs hel...

The Day After the Election

I am disgusted. Not surprised. The results do no surprise me at all. I feel sick at heart.  I have been cleaning and warding EVERYTHING. My whole house, everything I touch, I put a ward on it. I foresee braiding my hair daily. I already had a charm on my ankle to remove blocks, but I think I should make a new cord for it and amp up the protection.  I decided to take a social media break, at least until Monday. I really don't want to see the MAGA Trumpers smugly gloating. I don't even think most of them voted. I did not stand in line more than five minutes at the polls yesterday. There were a lot of women, and that gave me hope, but I forgot about powers that be casting electoral college votes. I live in Alabama. At every election, I am told Alabama is a red state. Then I see that between 75 to 80 percent of voters voted Democrat. We are decidedly blue, but our state representatives are mostly Republican and they ALWAYS give all our electoral votes to the Republican candi...

The Day After Halloween

Image
Good morning, my dears. Let's talk about my favorite holiday, Halloween. This year, things have been low key. I normally start decorating on September 1st. This year, things were delayed a bit, so on the first Friday of the month, I started cleaning, and then I hung up on my sugar skull on my front door. Then I discovered youngest son ran away from home. I didn't put up anymore decorations. The night before Halloween, I decided I wanted to wake up to a clean kitchen. I scrubbed counters, put away dishes, and emptied the trash. Then I did a protection spell with these red peppers from my garden. I have no intention of eating these. But I think it is perfectly fine to plant the seeds in January. Then I will get peppers that protected me. Those peppers will make seeds, thus the spell will renew itself for as long as I am gardening. I don't need to worry about losing magick or things going bad/getting moldy. And if it does, I will compost the peppers, turning negativity into n...
