Danger on the Side of the Road

Image
Good morning, my dears. It's warm and foggy in my part of the world. This is one of my plant wards. It can spin freely. I gave it a new purpose and now it faces in the house. Before, this ward always turned towards the window. Another of my wards has taken several hits. When the ward falls over, breaks, or in the case of plants, dies, then the ward has absorbed negative energy. The ward did its job. While I appreciate knowing my spells are working, it is very depressing to see one laying on the floor day after day. So I moved the ward and added another layer of protection on the outside of the house.  Of course, danger is everywhere. I got a sharp reminder of that last night. I went to the store for hotdog buns. It was late, already dark. I came over a hill and was instantly blinded because some dumbass was parked on the side of the road with his high beams on.  I couldn't see. I couldn't tell what side of the road he was on, or if he was sitting IN the road. I creeped ...

Tools Part 2

I know I promised a crystal ball. The problem is the bed. The new box spring is too long. We took the bed apart, made it longer, but we haven't stained the boards, nor, of course, put the bed back together. My daughter has been sleeping on the bunk beds in my library. Which means I can't use my library for spells, journaling, or meditation.  But this arrived yesterday: I have been waiting on the 2026 planner for what feels like ages. I decided to start a new series and I really need a calendar to write my series, otherwise I tend to post the same stuff over and over. I also mix up days. It's frustrating not being able to remember. So I need notes on a calendar. I have decided to start a series beginning on the spring equinox and ending on Beltane. Like my Witches and Majick Series, I will discuss spells/Majick. My first thought was love Majick, but the problem with love spells is that they quickly fall into interfering with free will. Then I decided to pick a subject that ...

The Tools, Part 1

My favorite tool right now is the palm rings. I feel a definite energy shift. I feel like they really help to direct energy. I was mainly focused to getting the rings themselves, so I was very surprised when I opened the box and found the seven chakra crystals. I wasn't expecting those.  I like to align the outer bend with the lines on my palm. I don't know if that is a suggestion or not. The rings did not come with instructions. The rings slide around a bit, unless a crystal is inserted under the ring. The palm rings can be used without the crystals. I have not used them enough to have any meaningful notes on the subject. I have some ideas, but I want to try them before I write about it, so stay tuned.  Tomorrow- crystal ball and the rocking chair. Blessed be.

The Library

I am very happy with the way this turned out. I am not done; I intend to paint the bookcases black. I wanted to paint before I moved everything, but when I started, there was a 35% chance of rain all week. I was very tired to waiting.  I haven't done anything with the other side of the room. Originally, I was going to replace these bunk beds with a loft bed- full mattress on bottom and a twin at the top. But that was when my grandchildren were living here. We do not need more beds now. Then I decided to buy the better beds anyway, in case my daughter wanted to have a sleep over, or if family came to visit. Then I actually thought about what kind of family we have, and I don't want them in my house. If they have a comfortable bed to sleep in, they might stay for an extended period of time. So the more I think about it, the more I'd rather get rid of the bunk beds and not replace them with anything else. Now I'm thinking of putting sewing machines in this corner. But go...

Reclaiming the House

Last month, my adult son and his family moved out of my house. I'm sure they have been in a bind, but things have been absolutely great for me.  I can sleep. My blood sugar dramatically improved and my a1c came down to the 7's for the first time in years.  My daughter is doing better in school. She now does her lessons without being told. Often, I go check on her to see if she needs help and she is completely done.  It no longer takes an hour or more to cook dinner. There are less dirty dishes, less laundry, and less trash. We can take hot showers whenever we like. I have turned the spare bedroom into a library. The animals are calmer. I was not expecting the pets to be effected that much. The chickens also seem happier. Decrease in allergic reactions. A good bit of vape residue is still in the house. It is hard to get rid of. Being allergic, I can only do a bit at a time before I start having reactions. However, the reactions are less intense. I don't think my thro...
