Tools Part 2
I know I promised a crystal ball. The problem is the bed. The new box spring is too long. We took the bed apart, made it longer, but we haven't stained the boards, nor, of course, put the bed back together. My daughter has been sleeping on the bunk beds in my library. Which means I can't use my library for spells, journaling, or meditation.
But this arrived yesterday:
I have been waiting on the 2026 planner for what feels like ages. I decided to start a new series and I really need a calendar to write my series, otherwise I tend to post the same stuff over and over. I also mix up days. It's frustrating not being able to remember. So I need notes on a calendar.
I have decided to start a series beginning on the spring equinox and ending on Beltane. Like my Witches and Majick Series, I will discuss spells/Majick. My first thought was love Majick, but the problem with love spells is that they quickly fall into interfering with free will. Then I decided to pick a subject that I love- quilts. I will discuss quilt blocks, their meanings, how to use quilts in Majick, and... it's bedding, so quilts totally go with beds and sex. Perfect for Beltane. I don't know if this will become a regular series on my blog. They are a lot of work. But the more I think about it, the more ways I see to incorporate other Majicks, like gardening. Then I thought maybe I could do opposites, so if Spring is sex and love, maybe Autumn is death and grief. At this point, the series have started writing themselves.
Back to the planner as a tool- I am trying very hard to build ritual out of mundane activities. There's power in doing the same thing over and over. I enchanted my dish soap to remove all negative energy. I am working on ways to add spells to my shop. I already do art spells and sewing spells and cooking spells. What if I charmed my toothpaste to give me alluring words so that people are more agreeable to what I ask? What if my clothes were glamour or protection? The possibilities are endless. Everything I touch could become Majick.
Here is another example. This trunk holds board games and puzzles. I put seasonal decorations on it. I put the pumpkins, representing abundance, out for Mabon. Then they were Halloween decorations, and now they are Thanksgiving decorations. In December, I will switch the pumpkins out for stars to represent blessings.
More tool posts to follow, stay tuned. Blessed be, my dears.
