Reclaiming the House
Last month, my adult son and his family moved out of my house. I'm sure they have been in a bind, but things have been absolutely great for me.
I can sleep.
My blood sugar dramatically improved and my a1c came down to the 7's for the first time in years.
My daughter is doing better in school. She now does her lessons without being told. Often, I go check on her to see if she needs help and she is completely done.
It no longer takes an hour or more to cook dinner.
There are less dirty dishes, less laundry, and less trash.
We can take hot showers whenever we like.
I have turned the spare bedroom into a library.
The animals are calmer. I was not expecting the pets to be effected that much. The chickens also seem happier.
Decrease in allergic reactions. A good bit of vape residue is still in the house. It is hard to get rid of. Being allergic, I can only do a bit at a time before I start having reactions. However, the reactions are less intense. I don't think my throat has closed in a month. I do sneeze/cough a lot. The headaches aren't as bad, and I get them less often. I long for the day of zero reactions.
I have not really gotten back into sewing. For the longest time, I couldn't leave anything out or my grandchildren would destroy it. I usually got interrupted as soon as I sat down at my sewing machine, and when I came back, my granddaughter would be throwing fabric at the cat. I had lots of ideas, but I couldn't make anything.
I have been doing more majick. I have some new tools, I will make a post soon. I also have decided to redo my shop. I think I am going to start listing things on Ebay first. If it doesn't sell, I will list the item in my Etsy shop. I have a candle idea, and that story is family drama, majick, and the shop, so that will be a long post. I would sort of like to do some videos for this blog. And I have decided to start doing another majick series on Beltaine.
Every day, I clean, move furniture, and try to fix broken things. We had a lot of things ruined when my son lived here because he doesn't watch his children. Today I will be replacing the doorknob that was yanked off the bathroom door. No apology was offered. I was handed some of the pieces, but none of the screws. I couldn't have put the knob back even if I wanted to. I also intend to replace the front door knob. I don't think we got all the keys back, and the deadbolt is damaged.
Pictures to come soon, I promise. Blessed be. Stay safe.
