A Little Past the New Moon

 

Good morning, my dears! Tomorrow is Beltaine! Today we have a waxing crescent moon in Gemini. It's a good time to focus on partnerships, business, and anything that you would like to grow. The picture above is my desk. I have been thinking of my desktop computer as a cauldron. I added a sticker to remind me to do a little magic before I use the computer. I chose this sticker because the star looks like the stars I make in my art, and I plan my life around moon phases and signs. 

I am trying hard to get my life organized. I got one credit card paid off, and I plan to pay off the other next week. As I pay bills this month, I will set up automatic payments to the credit cards. This way, bills get paid on time with no more late fees. Every two weeks, on paydays, we will either pay off the cards, or pay most of balance. This will build credit without putting us in debt. It also gives us some leeway if we run short of money. 

My garden is thriving. I have planted a lot of food. I try to go to the garden first to start my day. I feel more centered in the garden. I think gardening is meaningful work. 

I have fallen short on art. I think I am disassociating again, like I did the last time Mango was in office. I want to create, but when I try to sew, I can't remember what to do. I feel overwhelmed trying to chose which project to work on. Sometimes I start sewing, then realize I made a mistake that I can't fix; I will need to rip everything out and start over. This is depressing. 

My mother has broken the window. Again. I am tired of replacing glass. This is becoming expensive. We have duct tape over the hole. We are waiting a while before replacing anything. I want to put plexiglass in the window. I refuse to remodel the house while my mother lives. There's no point in giving her something to ruin. She keeps saying she wants to move, but I think as soon as we move her somewhere, she will decide she doesn't like it.
