Nearing the Full Moon, Garden Edition

Good afternoon, my dears. I don't think I will be able to write on the full moon, so I am getting an early start. I want to talk about my garden.

We got a pool. I love the pool. I swim almost daily for exercise. This is great because I get a full body, low impact workout. I can exercise with minimal neck pain.

The bad part is the pool is too close to my garden.

You can still see the tomatoes are much too close to the pool. I have moved three of my green fence panels. I lined them up near my kitchen window. This makes the garden longer.

When I moved one of my bottle trees, I did a spell. This tree is for protection. I added a small metal bottle opener to the tree. The bottle opener is shaped like an alligator. I gave him a name and a task.

That created a definite energy shift. The garden has more energy now. Not just the energy of growing plants. The garden feels more like a place of power now.

I have cast other spells as I move things. I am going to make another bottle tree. It will be on the other side of my pond. I think it will protect something different. I am interested to see how the energies play out.

This is my compost pile. I was already doing an alchemy spell here, turning waste into useful fertilizer. Recently, I started adding shredded junk mail to the compost. There is a noticeable energy around the compost pile. My chickens love it. They scratch around searching for bugs. The chickens are speeding up the process. I say they are blessing my garden. Since the little peckerheads have eaten most of my lettuce, I think they fucking owe me.

This bottle tree probably won't relocate. I would like for the semi tires to stay here, but I don't know how much rearranging I will be doing. This bottle tree doesn't have a spell and it feels radically different from the blue tree. It seems 'empty' the same way houses feel when people move out.

This area was a temporary dog pen for puppies. I have been using it store garden stuff that isn't in use such as poles for trellises. I MAY move the compost pile to here. This is against the house, meaning the bugs in the compost may find their way inside. Right now my compost doesn't have much of a smell, but if goes bad then that would be a horrible smell under a bedroom window. I will need to think about this carefully.

The garden is also going to become home to the grill, so we can cook during pool parties. We will be celebrating my daughter's birthday in a couple of weeks. I need lights, chairs, and maybe a outdoor fireplace. I have a lot of work to do.

I am thinking of celebrating Mabon in the garden. I haven't done many outdoor rituals because before I had nosy neighbors. I still do, but it seems like people avoid the garden. I think something about it makes them uncomfortable. Maybe I don't need many chairs.

Blessed be. Stay safe and well.
