Tomato Horn Worm Curse
I absolutely loathe these worms. They rapidly eat all the leaves off tomato plants. Let one worm stay in the morning and by evening the tomatoes plants are nothing but bare vines. I found DOZENS today.
Normally, I feed horn worms to my chickens. They will gleefully rip worms in half as they fight to gobble them up. Chickens think horn worms are tasty. I don't think the chickens can see the worms on the vines, as the worms look like tomato leaves.
If my chickens aren't around, I just squish them. Today, before stepping on them, I named the worms after enemies. I mostly named people who have taken too much from me. I had more horn worms than enemies, so a few people were named several times.
As I killed horn worms, I said that my enemies would never take from me again. I feel this curse works best for people who have taken advantage, lied, stole, or worn out their welcome. Some of the worms were covered with white larvae. I don't know if that is their own young or another parasite laying eggs on horn worms. I see it as a metaphor for people who use others while adding trouble. I may toss the squished remains into a fire, just to be sure that I won't be troubled with anything else.
Blessed be, my dears, and go check on your garden.
